Ringette Star Erica Voss Pursuing Olympic Dreams Through Bobsleigh

February 23rd, 2021— Ringette player, Erica Voss has taken her skills to the track in hopes of reaching her Olympic dreams. On February, 6th, 2020, Erica and bobsleigh pilot, Cynthia Appiah, competed at the IBSF World Championships and placed 9th overall.

Erica, who has played ringette for 18 years has wanted to be in the Olympics since she was 12 years old. She began her bobsleigh career in 2018 after attending an RBC Training Ground event and was eventually invited to attend a Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton Testing Camp in Toronto.

Erica most recently played for Ringette Canada’s Senior National Team in the 2019 World Ringette Championships where her team went on to win the silver medal. She also played in the National Ringette League for the Richmond Hill Lightning in 2019.

In June 2020, Erica sat down with Ringette Ontario during an episode of ‘Team Talk’ to discuss being a multisport athlete and how playing ringette helped prepare for her Olympic dreams. Watch The Video.
