Featured Team – November
This week, Ringette Ontario would like to recognize an extraordinary team for our first Team of the Month feature: The London Lynx U19A team.
Read what Team Manager, Jeannette Lydestad had to say:
“WE WILL work together with our entire association and communities to help fight Breast Cancer! One of our team members’ Mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer almost 2 years ago.
Last season, her U16A team decided to raise awareness during the month of October using the theme “pink the rink”. London Ringette admired this idea and decided to take it one step further. We turned to our entire association to help in this effort. Through the volunteerism of Elly Simpson, the LRA Board, and the entire London Ringette Association, we organized special events, new pink jerseys, and dedicated our annual tournament this past weekend to raising funds the support this cause. The support we received this past weekend at the tournament from other associations, players and parents was AMAZING!
Our U19A team wears our new pink jerseys extra proudly in support of our team member and her mother (who is doing very well), and we are all very excited as we wait to hear how much we all have raised together for this cause!”
Ringette Ontario would like to commend these players, coaches and parents for their amazing contributions towards this cause!
