Ringette Ontario Adds Extensive Experience with Election of Four Directors at Annual General Meeting

ONTARIO - Ringette Ontario is pleased to announce the election of four members to its Board of Directors during the Annual General Meeting, held virtually on Wednesday, November 12, 2026. Returning to the Board are Sydney Bowles (1-year term) and Jeremy Feran (2-year term), while Heather Coleman (2-year term) and Donna Daw (2-year term) join as newly elected members.
Sydney Bowles grew up playing competitive ringette, has coached at a high level, and continues to play 18+ A. She previously interned with Ringette Canada and is a municipal planning lawyer with the City of Ottawa.
Jeremy Feran, an established lawyer, brings extensive expertise in legal and regulatory compliance, risk management, governance, and public policy. He also contributes locally as a Trainer with his ringette club.
Heather Coleman, a familiar name in the ringette community, has been involved in the sport for over 33 years as a player, coach, and referee, and continues to play. She is a certified Project Management Professional with experience leading successful projects in both startups and large organizations.
Donna Daw, new to ringette, is a provincially certified and nationally trained coach with over 30 years of experience in figure skating. Recently retired from the IT industry, she offers deep knowledge in data analytics, information security, and strategic business management.
At a subsequent Board meeting, Jeremy Feran was appointed Vice-President, transitioning from his previous role as Director-at-Large, while Sydney Bowles resumes her position as Secretary. Heather Coleman and Donna Daw will serve as Directors-at-Large. They join Chris Sharpe (President), Allison Madeley (Athlete Director), and Region Chairs Shelley Ahmed, Fred Black, and Mark DeLaFranier.
Ringette Ontario and the Board of Directors extend sincere thanks to outgoing Director-at-Large Kyle Stirbet and Vice-President Jim File for their contributions over the past six months.
Ringette Ontario is the Provincial Sport Organization for Ringette in Ontario. Ringette Ontario is an athlete-centric and value-driven organization that oversees all ringette interests in the province. Ringette Ontario delivers programming focusing on athlete, coach and official development, as well as supporting sanctioned events through Provincials, Regionals and tournaments.
