Ringette Ontario is proud to announce the selection of three assistant coaches to complete the bench staff for Team Ontario that will attend the 2027 Canada Winter Games. The selection of Head Coach Jessica Boisvert was announced in August 2024. Also joining the staff for training camps will be Legacy Athlete Danika Osborne, who will lend her experience with 2023 Team Ontario and Junior National Team to the athletes as they prepare for the 2027 Games.
Amanda Clark
Amanda has eight years of coaching experience at the AA and AAA levels. Amanda’s most recent coaching experience was as the Head Coach of the Ajax-Pickering U19AA team, where the team achieved back-to-back provincial titles in 2023 and 2024, and competed at the Canadian Ringette Championships as Team Ontario.
With 20 years of playing experience, Amanda offers a deep understanding of the game, especially around goaltending. Her specialized skills in this position, combined with her comprehensive coaching approach, will be complimentary to the amazing bench staff selected.
Karli O’Brien
Karli has coached ringette for five years in Ontario, with one year as a U16AA coach and four in the Ringette Ontario AAA program. She has coached teams to multiple bronze medals and a gold at the Ontario Winter Games. Karli has also been an assistant coach at Ringette Canada’s U17 La Relève event for two years. She will join the NRL’s Nepean Ravens as an assistant coach this season.
As an athlete, O’Brien has been playing ringette for 22 years. She grew up playing with the Nepean Ringette Association, winning provincial championships and a national championship. She also won two gold medals at the Ontario Winter Games. O’Brien also has high performance athlete experience, as a member of the Junior National Team at the 2013 World Ringette Championship, and several years with the Gatineau Fusion in the National Ringette League.
Meghan Pearse
Meghan has been involved in ringette for over 30 years, as a player and now as a coach.
Meghan has been coaching ringette for the last 10 years, first as a playing coach and then moving onto a bench with the Kitchener Ringette Association (KRA). She has been a head coach with KRA for the last 4 seasons, taking her team to the Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships in 2023 and finishing first in the round robin of Provincials in 2024, just shy of securing a spot at the Canadian Ringette Championships in the finals. This season, Meghan is the head coach of Kitchener U16AA and an assistant coach with the U19AA and 18+A teams in Kitchener. Meghan was previously part of the AAA Team Green coaching staff, winning the Ontario Winter Games in 2024. Meghan was an assistant coach at Ringette Canada’s U17 La Relève event in 2024.
Danika Osborne
Danika is from Ottawa and currently plays for the Gatineau Fusion of the NRL. In 2023, she competed at the World Ringette Championships in Calgary as part of the Junior National Team, and she also represented Team Ontario during the last CWG cycle. In addition to playing, she is currently a coach with 'RingTech Sport Étude' in Gatineau.
The 2027 Team Ontario staff will continue to work with Ringette Ontario staff to develop plans for the 2025-26 AAA program, as well as the program plan and selection criteria for Team Ontario 2027.
Jessica Boisvert
Jessica is an accomplished coach in Ontario, medaling at the Ontario Winter Games and winning provincial championships. Jessica brings experience from playing in the National Ringette League and coaching at the Canadian Ringette Championships at the U16, U19 and NRL levels. She has been part of the U18 Team Canada Development program for the past 2 years as an assistant coach. She is currently coaching the Nepean Ravens NRL team in Ottawa, where she works as a physical education teacher in the Ottawa Carleton District School Board.
